Hi guys,

I just got the A70 and usually use the XP to automatically download the images to the computer and Corel Photopaint to do my editing (w/o installing anything from the canon software disks that come with the package).

I read the FAQ at Canon's website about the limitation of the XP default driver on downloading mass amount of images from the CF card and it suggests to download the new WIA 6.0.0 if the problem persists.

I haven't encounter the problem (yet) but would just like to know:
1. Do i really need to download the new driver?
2. How do i install it? There is no setup.exe in the compressed driver file. It has a XPUpdater.exe in it but fail to do the installation. Any step-by-step guide please?

Thanks

Chris

The answer to your first question is No.

As to the steps to install it... here goes.

1. Unzip the downloaded file
2. Go to My Computer
3. Doubleclick on your C: drive
4. Doubleclick on the Canon folder
5. Doubleclick on the WIA600 folder
6. Doubleclick on the WIA60 folder
7. Doubleclick on the English folder
8. Doubleclick on Setup.exe and go through the installation wizard.
