View Full Version : Finding models.

The majority of the shooting I have done has been sports related. I have a desire to dabble in portraiture/modeling type shoots. I've tried the Model Mayhem thing and found it frustrating between being stood up or people cancelling at the last minute. Where do you all find your models? If I contacted an actual agency will they do buisness with people who are looking to gain experience?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I myself have never gotten into it so all I can do is give you a couple "pointers"...

First, as to Model Mayhem, you might want to take a look at a good, informative thread:

Second, if you look at the bottom of this page you will see the "Similar Threads" section. Your title was helpful in spurring a forum mini-search that brought up pertinent results!

Those threads should get you started while waiting to see if others chip in!

Also, two "Discussion" sections could be relevant:

People Talk

And Glamor and Nude Talk
