That is a pretty picture, Jack. And nice choice of frame. It would look good on a wall, for sure.
I do wonder about framing photos for display in the forum - that is certainly a personal choice, to be honored by us viewers. The way I look at it is that you can have a larger display of your images if you don't frame them. How about showing us both the framed and unframed picture, displayed at the full 800 pixel width allowed in the forum.
Regards,
Harold

Nice shot. I am one that really like the framing. I think it dresses up shots and make them look like they should on a wall.

Nice pic. Not a fan of the frame but makes me think of the picture as a portrait on a wall :)

I like the trees, color and path, don't care for the asphalt or the power/light pole in the center. Frame if you want, I don't really care, but feel it's a bit silly when displaying images on a computer screen.

I would frame it and put it on my wall. Nice shot.

I agree with Kenyc the road and telephone/power pole take away from the overall effect of the picture.
Framing does make a difference in the presentation of a picture. I framed some of my shots from this summer's vacation and it made a world of difference.

One man's silly is another man's art.

I actually cropped out the road at first but the photo did not have the same appeal to me so left it in; just my preference I guess.

I wouldn't put it on my wall. The newly paved and stripped road is a real drawback for this shot. It would have been better if it were a gravel road or such.

I didn't have time to dig up the pavement....sorry :(

Hi TJ,
I like the full-size image very much. I feel like I could step right into that scene.

Know what you mean. If I were to print it I would clone it out.

Hi TJ
Like the cropped version , but as you noted that is my preference, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Can't wait to get back down to N.S it really is a great part of the country, maybe next year for vacation.
