Here is a gallery of only four photos...b/w...made with an old Spotmatic (pentax with Tri-X 400 ASA film)...sorry...not Canon...home darkroom (lots of cardboard cut-out dodging and burning tools)...in 1975 and 1976....(did any of you guys ever glue a thin stick to a piece of cardboard to use as a 'dodging tool' before Photoshopt was invented??)
I pulled these old prints out of a box...cleaned them up with Photoshop....
let me know what you think...

Although, I was not around yet in 1975-76 ... I find it interesting to look at some of the older photos. It is not that they bring memories of my own, but there is a certain carisma about them.
Very good.
Aren't you glad Photoshop was invented? :D jk

The old Spotmatic was the best value around at the time. It cost around $100 with extremely sharp Takumar lens.
I still teach B&W darkroom for those who want it....
(dodging and burning tools and all)
It's surprising how many people still enjoy it and want to learn.
(I prefer the computer but don't tell them that.)
Your pics are fine. The gas pump one is a real period piece. The shot of the girl is great and the others also very very good.
The Spotmatics are still around.
A friend bought one with 3 lenses recently and
loves it so much that he sold his Canon EOS film camera. Says he feels that he is in control now.
Thanks for sharing these excellent photos.

thanks eland...I'm using a G3 now but miss the darkroom. I've not explored the B&W capabilities in digital yet....will I be impressed?
BTW...I forgot that one of the B&W shots (dog) in the gallery was actually with a Konica S2 rangefinder...loaned to me by a friend to learn on. Another classic camera that one was.
