(1) A free photo association of the canadian flag using brick wall & pillar on our porch and a horticultural maple variety planted there.
(2) Canada geese on their pasture. (No, I do not need a stinkin' 600 mm super telephoto lens, a 60 mm lens will do...:D )

Both shots done with 300D/60 mm and nothing else.

I like the first one for idea and composition. maybe you can pump up red saturation...
thanx for sharing,

Thanx T.O. Tru, those colours are kinda pale but they approximate reasonably well what my eye had seen in that sort of light.

maybe find a maple tree to use in place of the existing tree. maple leaf is our symbol.

oops. i see that it IS a 'horticultural maple', but still, not the correct maple.

Thanx Smuckers2.
That Accer Saccharum just does not always grow where you need it ;)
Heck, I can always take a photo of the real flag, eh ?:D

I like the first shot but if it was mine I would probably see how it looks after cropping off the top half and turning it 180 degrees. It would also be interesting to see how this shot would look if it were taken with a stinkin 600mm super telephoto lens.:)

Gary, the EF-S (600/10) f/2.8 is one sharp and very capable little lens.
:D :D
In fact, since I got it 3 months ago, I am using it more often than the 50 1.4, which used to be my default lens.
