Stuurbaard Bakkebaard @ Atak, Enschede.
During the first part of the show, I managed to get wine over my 100/2.0, what rendered it unusable for the rest of the night (heavy fogging inside). I included on image I made with it. See if you can spot it ;)

That last photo is simply astounding.

Rene, really, really nice. I can smell them! I can feel the heat. These are whatever the opposite of 'sterile' is! Come over here and show me how to do this! My big venue with big lights and big names never feels so personal and involved. I am working on getting a closer relationship with some of the more local bands but it is slow ... just so I can shoot a little more in this style. I am smiling ear to ear.

These are simply great shots. To those who do concert photography, how do you meter? Do you use a handheld spot meter, or adjust EC in camera?

These are excellent, I like the focus effect you got on the band in the first "band portrait" especially

Thanks all!
Some answers to some questions:
I guess these get 'involved' because my 100mm was busted, so I had to use my 50mm instead. Because of that I got closer... Worked out nicely ;) Sometimes the 100mm is a bit too long on 1D2 body...
I use Av or P (with PFn 10 set to 'ON', which makes it kind of a 'smart Av') and dial in EC on the fly (takes some practice to guess what the evaluative metering is up to), or, if the front lighting is quite constant, I use partial metering in M. (spot meter would work as well, but requires a bit more attention to metering. Hand held spot meter is waaay to slow)
The Band portrait was 'reworked' in PS: Partly transparent, blurred 'overlay' layer and a partly transparent channel mixer layer in between. I should have upped the ISO and closed the aperture a bit more though, now the left guy's eyes are OOF :o

I could use some help with a pricing issue ... http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=112382
