After having called 37 camera shops (here in UK) over the last 2 weeks looking for this lens + an MT24EX flash I am starting to despair.

About 12 of these shops remarked when asked: "you mean EF-S 60mm".
I could hear that they did not know of the MP lens.
One shop said last week that they could get it by this weekend. They then said today it would be next weekend as Canon UK has no stock.

I called B&H, they have stock but can not accept visa or mastercard.

What is going on here in the UK?
A B&H representative claims that UK regulations prevent visa and mastercard transactions.

Does anyone know where in the UK I can get this combination?
Thanks

Warehouse Express sell both the lens and the flash. Whether they have them in stock or not I don't know, could be worth giving them a call to check I have always found them very good to deal with.

I bought both the lens and flash unit from Park Cameras some time ago.

I echo the remarks with regard to Warehouse Express and also suggest A.J.Purdy.

Good luck with your search.

Don't think there is anything wrong with the 7dayshop's site- they just stopped selling canon lenses around the end of Sept this year. I just bought my 200mm F2.8L from them in time.
Don't know If Canon had something to do with it, but I think their canon lenses all came with International warranties rather than UK ones (ie "grey" imports).

dentist lens??
Well you got more reach - I imagine with the MP 65 you would be working at 3" max but then its designed for ultra closeups. I have the 60 EFS and ringflash but wouldnt mind a 5x mag for ants etc. £719 mmmh
