Solid first wedding by the looks of it. I have no issues with 1 or 2 (great use of color) or 8 (except for maybe red mark on her arm). I would have liked a different crop for 5; I would have waited until the groom looked at the bride (I refer to it as 'perching' !--waiting until, e.g., the right expression or look happens) to kind of contain the shot a little more (it looks like he's looking at someone/something out of the frame).

did you shoot anything wider ? I would have probably gone for a wide of shot 7.

Thanks for your input :)

Mark on her arm is a birthmark i believe, and i chose not to take it out due to it being a wedding (wanted to keep both the bride and groom natural etc..)

Just had a quick look of the original of 5, like you said not an ideal crop, it was full length but there were flowers in the bottom and up the right edge, so i had to crop it those out, otherwise it would of been even worse!

I dont have anything wider of 7 unfortunately! was abit annoyed aswell, i lent my 28mm to who i was shooting with, as he was doing the in close work, whilst i had a tele on shooting some candids, and by the time that shot came round, i still had the 70-200 on!

^Good move on not cloning out the birthmark. The most I do in these cases is just to diminish the prominence. In photoshop I would use the heal brush, then Edit/Fade, going down to maybe 30%-40% visible. But here, yeah, it's so minimal that whether or not to leave it as-is is a toss-up.

Thanks for the tip! will bear your comments in mind if i shoot another!

Great set for your 1st Wedding! thats awesome.
So take into account that I just finished my 5th or maybe 6th wedding, so take my C&C for what it is.

1 & 2 - I really like
3 - I wouldn't put her right in the middle of the frame, maybe set her back on left 1/3?
4 - is good, typical candid
5 - great moment here :-)
6 - good shot for someone who likes the typical posed shots
7 - I really like this shot and agree with the other posters about a wider shot, but I would also maybe like to see a B&W PP (like #2) instead of the Sepia
8 - I really like 8. Bokehlicious lol but it looks like they are looking at another photographer. Like other posters said wait for that moment. One tip I learned was when you're doing some of the more "posey" type shots, take the shot, and then also take the one right after they are done posing. This has worked to my benefit A LOT!

Best of luck to you. Any other advice I can give to you since I'm still pretty "FRESH" to the biz also is
use small GB cards instead bigger ones. Dont under estimates the details or a steady tripod haha
Also Justinclamps are AMAZING for clever light.

Thanks very much for the comments! Yea number 8 you're right, its as I was shooting with someone else they were looking at him!

Yea used smaller cards just incase something happened! Never had a prob is 6 years but there's a first time for everything lol!
