I took this shot of the Bahia Honda bridge ( Old bridge that was a railroad in the 1900`s or something ) The bridge is no longer really accesible because of a movie that they shot there , They blew up parts of it in it. Then i made it look old in Gimp.
Give me any comments , Thanks !

Sebastion,
The movie was made using the old Seven Mile Bridge, not Bahia Honda.
It was "True Lies" with Arnold, and the gap was already there, they just used Special Effects to make it look like they blew it up.
The bridge is now a very long long fishing pier.
Bahia Honda bridge was part of the Florida East Coast Railway line to Key West, destroyed in the hurricane of 1926 or 1935, not sure of year. (I'm not quite that old, but my grandkids would give odds on that)

\Haha thanks man , I always get confused with that stuff, I knew that part of the bridge was destroyed by the hurricane but i also thought that they blew up part of it. But i didnt think that the movie was filmed on the old 7 mile bridge, I always thought that it was on the Bahia Honda bridge. Also i dont think that you can fish off it anymore, They closed it up i think.

As a frequent traveler to the Keys, I second that it was the old 7 mile bridge (which was about a death trap when it was open). You can still see it from the new bridge.

I remember driving trucks to Key West on the old bridge, and had to pull in the
mirror on the driver's side to keep from hitting truck mirrors going the other way.
There was a tanker fire on the new bridge last month, and it was feared that it
would have to close for repairs, but it held up fine.
