Canon FL 55mm f1.2 [Archive] - Canon Digital Photography Forums

Seeing as how this is a canon lens that now has an adapter specifically made to let this gem work with EOS cameras I felt it deserves its own thread.

I will start with shots from my first day with this lens. This is also my first time ever using manual focus, turns out it is easier than I thought!

Nice lens, how did you do the conversion? A ready made kit? I just bought a Nikkor 55 f1.2 because it is easier to convert...

There is a guy who custom machines an adapter that only fits the FL 55mm f1.2. It is not cheap but I think given the results it is worth it. You can search ebay for Edmika, it should come up.

IMHO. I think it is better to create a theme about FL / FD / NFD lenses.
Theme one lens will not survive long. ^^)

Gotcha, So I guess it does not make sense to have a forum thread for a Canon SLR lens used on a Canon SLR camera housed in the Canon photography forum?

Should we just have one thread for all Sigma lenses? There are way too many Tokina threads too...................

By the way the description of this forum is "Demo shots from all lenses! One thread per lens."

Now all of this aside I would love to see what other people have done with this excellent lens!!

I just got my FL 55mm 1.2 on Oct. 13th. I installed the ED Mika adapter in about 5 mins and then promptly ran outside and snapped a few photos wide open at f/1.2

This adapter only fits the FL 55mm 1.2 and allows full infinity focus.
