I am unable to focus white wall on my g3.
If i try to focus any subject on the wall, picture for example everything is ok. I have green box.
But when I try to focus white wall I have blinking
orange indicator. Is it OK?

The G3's autofocus system is contrast-based as opposed to Phase Detection used by SLRs. So if you focus on any object that has low contrast (ie. white wall) you will have difficulty doing so.

It will not focus at the sky, snow, mirror, water etc..
You need at least some vertical contrast.

This link may help you to understand why this happens. It is normal for a passive autofocus camera to behave this way.

Get used to the manual focus option! Unfortunately, auto focus doesn't always work... for this it is good to be prepared.
