I'll be there for 2 weeks on business so I'll have very little time to wander around. Plus, the family (wife and small kids) will be with me which means even less time for photography. Nevertheless, I'll bring the camera along and hopefully I'll be able to take a few photos. Any suggestions on where and what to shoot while I'm there?

I was last in Milan about 25 years ago (without a camera) when my father worked there, so my view might be out of date :) Everything was clean and wide, quite business-oriented, actually not very "italian" looking city. Mostly for wide and fast lenses although all cities in Italy have great detail in architecture and nice "backyard" scenes plus great potential for candids in cafe's etc. Of course as it is one of the fashion capitals you might get nice candids of models ;) Lake Como is worth visiting (40km north of Milan).
If you see Milan in Google Earth and click on all information layers you will see many sites for potentially good shots.

Thanks for the reply. It was rainy here all weekend so not much fun for photography. And definitely not much fun to walk around the city with 3 kids (6, 2 & 4 months). But I saw one huge cathedral which looked very impressive. Haven't seen any models yet though.
A friend recommends we travel to Venice next weekend. He says you can point the camera at anything anywhere and get nice shots. Let's see...
