Hi,
I understand that we use UV or polarize during day shoots.
How abt night shoots ? Do we use any filters ?
please advise ...

You might wanna try using a warming 81b filter.

You can use these at night as well even with flash. Polarizer in a situation where there are unwanted reflections in your scene and want to get rid of them (ie. glare from a computer monitor, glass coffee table, picture frame, etc..). The UV you can use in any situation. I keep mine on at all times mainly just for protection. Just make sure you get one that's good quality - Hoya, B+W.

Peter...what are you using for a lens cap? Did you get one from B&H video, or???
Looks like the lensmate is never going to arrive (can't even find it on their site anymore) so I'm looking for other options...wanted a grey one to match the camera, but it doesn't appear that Canon makes one in that color.

I use a standard black 52mm clip-on cap on top of my UV filter (you can buy this cheap at any local camera store). I was going to order the Lensmate cap as well but didn't want to pre-order on anything backordered.

yeah .. can't find lensmate's lens cap in their website ..
