Good morning everyone! It's nice to join this informative group. Well I took the plunge. As a long time SLR user (A1,Elan) my first impression of the G3 was that it felt like a toy in my hands. The results I obtained from my first photos quickly changed my mind. The pictures are incredible. I even downloaded some to my computer and manipulated them in PhotoShop. I welcomed myself to to Digital Age... LOL.
I also purchased the Canon s9000. After printing both 4x6's and 8x10's of the pictures I took, I now have a professional type photo lab for a printer. I would highly reccomend the s9000 and the G3. Photo film will rarely be used by me again. Long Live Digital ! Hail Canon!

I have a G3 and Canon S900 printer. Nice combination indeed.Prepare yourself to buy more ink because a lot of printing coming ahead. Also,at default setting the image from G3 need ajustment in Photoshop (auto level)to take out the (haze) in the picture.

Welcome to digital. I will still have more years of working with film as I am taking photography in school and the idustry and professionals are still mostly using film.
But I can see that changeing in the years to come.

I don't even have a printer to print photos.

Good luck!

Thank you all for responding, I appreciate it! I have found that with the Canon S9000 my best results have been with canon photo paper. I tried the kodak ultima and it looked like a piece of ____! Incredibly grainy.
As for the manhattan meeting/camer club, I travel lots and can't commit, much to my dismay :(
