File numbering

Hi,

I've shot +/- 10 000 with my EOS D-60, and he's started counting again at IMG_0001. Is there a way to change that into something unique? (Like 2-0001 or something?)

Nope. The camera, as you now know, just starts another cycle. I'd specify the second round of 10,000 by a folder designation where you save your photos.

thanks for your answer. It's a shame that it isn't calculated by Canon. I suppose there are only 4 digits to match the 8.3 file specifications for DOS.

Anyway. I've downloaded this exellent tool "ReName" at http://www.1-4a.com/rename (it's freeware) and just renamed my images...(697 images in +/- 10 seconds)
