Both are technically consistent with your very high execution standard, hombre.:)
The first one I find a bit sterile, somehow devoid of contents to my tired eyes. Again, I must mention that this kinda response is highly individual.....someone else might find all kinds of associations in it, etc.
The second one I like in its "the prison city" style...alarmingly sharp and bright....which is perhaps your intent. I would have probably tried to emphasize the "gaping hole" at the end of it; "lasciate ogni speranza voi che entrate".........Ok, now I am really etting carried away......we need Tiziano to translate this for us.;)
( BTW, you owe me $ 6.47 CAN for the above nonsensical critique.)

Looks good, ElTwitcho! I'd like to see the first in high key contrast, with the bush at the far end cloned out. In the second, it somehow tilts a bit to the right. Do you have a pic that shows this in perfect symmetry?

I really like the second one, As simple as it is, It's the lines! The guard rails, the row of lights. I dig it. Keep up the good work. It's a comfort knowing while I'm sleeping, your out shooting:-)

Intersting quote, Petkal... you are a resourceful one! :)
I'll translate it: "Loose all your hopes, you who come in".....It was the sign at the entrance of Hell, in the "Divina Commedia" from Dante Alighieri....

Petkal - Thanks for the input. The first one I was hoping to convey a sense of scale in the pictures, but am still at a loss for doing that without including some foreign element that would ruin the composition. Those pilars are about 4 foot in diameter and quite impressive in peson, in film they seem to have lost a bit.
As for the second, the dante's inferno quote is indeed pretty appropriate, I like it.
Bottom Shhhh, you're not supposed to notice the tilt on the second one ;)
Seriously though, the tunnel is asymetrical, the shot itself is almost perfectly level but the opening isn't synmetrical on both sides, which made it a pain to frame properly.
Keifer Thanks dude, the second shot's location I've seen about a dozen times from the highway so I'm glad I finally took the chance to go explore and shoot it. I'm certainly happy with it as well.
tiziano Much obliged for the translation, I have to admit I had no idea what that meant before you came along.
Dwight I can only dream my friend ;)
Thanks for looking everyone

I understand Eltwitcho :) There are some subjects that no matter what angle you try, it doesn't line up perfectly. It is still a great pic though, and I was nitpicking. The exposure is spot on.
