Jake is my baby brother. (Editted out an unneeded comment) My mom had him a couple years ago a week before my birthday. He's a cute kid, and I find it hard not to take pictures of him. Here are some shots I took one night at my moms house.

In my eyes there is no such thing as half brother. He's either your brother or not. Anyway, he is very cute. Aren't the little ones always such posers...lol :)

Well, I meant technically, not morrally. Morally, he'll always be my little brother. But technically, he's only half.
And yeah, he's cute. But usually not one for photos.

technically mentioning he's your half brother is pointless...but, I digress....

Eh, in all honesty, I'd rather have the focus on thoughts of the photos rather than my describing.

I actually did have some input, technically. Anyway, like I originally said he is cute. A little PP could make the photo's really pop though.

Like I said in a previous post, I'm not much for editting online, I like using camera filters and stuff.
But, for the most part, digital editting kinda seems like cheating for me.
Not that I think it is wrong or degrades a photo if you do it.
I just prefer not to.

Digital editing is considered to be like a dark room for film. It is not really cheating, it is basically required with Canon equipment. It is like that so you can get what you like, not necessarily what a camera manufacturer likes. Color and sharpness correction is essential imho.
Any photo that has been altered in such a way that it is no longer realistic would need to be captioned that way. ie. adding objects that were not originaly there, etc.
I agree, though it is probably best to start out with as near a perfect photo as you can get.
Keep up the good work. Oh, and sorry for monopolizing your thread. :)

Hahaha, it's cool, I can understand.
I edit sometimes, don't get me wrong. Slight color adjustments and converting to Black and White are all but impossible to remove from a photographer.
By cheating, I meant...getting rid of objects, adding more objects, etc etc. Because, slight altercation is fine, but an entire manipulation is no longer a photo to me.
