On my G3 in for instance folder 119 it puts fotos from
img_1903 to img_2002...
so some of the 2002 are in 119 instead of 120..is this normal? a bug?
How can I fix this without starting the counter back at zero and if I did would it fix it?

I save in dated folders, but does this quote from the manual page 112 help?
"Since images shot in continuous mode or Stitch Assist mode are always saved in the same folder, some folders may contain 101 or more images."

Hello
What do you mean save with dated folders? How would I set that on the camera?
I dont know if the manual page is the cause of the problem other than now even if I'm not shooting in continuous mode all of the folders are off by 2...

Well, I don't know, but we may be talking two different things. I currently download from the camera to the computer (Windows 2000) using the Canon software, zoombrowser. After detecting the camera it prompts to select the images to download then it comes up with a dialog box that looks like the diagram on the bottom of page 34 of the Software Starter Guide. Taking the settings shown there, it creates a subdirectory of the date shot with files from that date. Looks kinda like this:
folder name
2003_04_26
file names
101_0199.JPG
101_0200.JPG
102_0201.JPG
Notice my prefix changes from 101 to 102 on the filenames. But I believe if 0201 was part of a continuous shooting or a panorama, its prefix would still be 101.
Sounds different than yours, so I don't know if it's related or not.

Ah ic..I don't use zoom browser I just copy them straight from the camera to folders, so the numbering sequnce I'm getting is the same as the way they are stored on the camera..
