Hi all.
I would like to see if anyone had a picture with the 20D and the 70-200MM 2.8 IS Attached... I'm not sure how big they if it will fit in my bag. I work with a 20D, I know the scale perspective, just not with a 70-200MM 2.8 IS ;)
thanks for you time

Here you go. Taken with my A70 and no post processing, but it gives you a good idea of size.

It came with the tripod ring, correct? Or is it only the f4 version you need to pay extra for it?

It makes me wonder how much the hood alone cost:rolleyes: , I know it comes with it, but if I loose it......Oh boy....I was looking at the Canon 400 or was it the 500MM...but the hood for them Lenses cost $500!!!.  lol. All I need is a piece of carboard paper, and make the samething;) or piece of aluminum...they can't be hard to make.
Well, it looks like it will fit in my camera bag....Is that a good thing or a Bad thing ;) j/k
I figure 4 months until I reciceve mine, I'm waiting until the "new 20D"comes out, not sure if this is a smart move or not while the rebates are out. What do you guys think? Would technology make that big of a diffence in 18 months?

No. You are waisting a lot of good shooting time by not getting one now. Buy one used with less than 5K click on it.

I'm thinking with the D200 coming and the new 20D, the current model will be able to be found for a great price shortly.
Despite the 20D being a great camera, it seems with new releases many sell and move on.
Right now almost new 20D's sell from $950-$1050 used, in fact with rebates new ones are not much more.
Anyhow, I'd think we see $800-$900 in the Spring for used ones, that will be a buy...
Agree?

agree, but is it worth the 2month (max) wait for a new camera "new 20d"or run with the rebates? I won't need the camera till July....But I'm impatient ;)
