Nice timing!
I spent part of yesterday trying to time shots at a little league softabll game yesterday. I don't think I got a single "swing" when I wanted to ,.. and it was NOT the camera's fault!
Good Job! :)

Excellent capture of a difficult subject.

The photo is very nice but a center cropping may not be best for this image. Would you have been able to leave more to the left of the image showing the horse and rider heading into that direction? If the rider in the background posed a distraction it can easily be taken out of the photo.

Ah, thanks a lot ! It seems like a lot of catching the "moment" is just plain luck, no matter how much you time it. Well, that's how it seems to be to me anyway.

It was less center cropped than center shot, so the crop was very slight. I've read and heard that motion shots should seem like they are headed towards the viewer ? Is that in fact good practice ?
