Hi there al!
I found and downloaded the PS action for linear converted raw files but the results where very strange when I looked at the pic at 100%. Yhey had a loss of tonality and had almost what looked like jpg artifacts.
Probably something I did wrong. But can anyone point out what parts I need to have checked for the best result.
I also wonder if I need to do some more sharpening when I will print the pictures. If not - how come the different printsizes have the same amount of sharpening?
Best regards
Peter

Peter, where did you find this action to convert
10D linear files? I'm not aware of any, yet.

You may be referring to Linear Sharpen 3.42, which
is for the D30. That might explain why your'e having
trouble. I don't see any new 10D linear converter
in Pekka's pages. I can output linear files from Breezebrowser, but I still have nothing with which
to convert.

Linear conversion actions can not be done for 10D now, as there is a bug in Canon SDK which outputs the linear TIFF in 8 bit resolution - it results in strong posterization on final image.

I must have got it wrong! But I have downloaded a file called 10d_workflow_tool wich is an action for PS. As I remeber it I downloaded from this forum. But my memory might be wrong.
Anyway it does not seem to work.

l am surprised everyone is so mystified...
I also downloaded 10d_workflow_tools from a link in this forum. It was free and works well. It is a simple action for Photoshop.
Anyway, try Converting .CRW file to a Non_Linear 16 bit TIFF file and then try performing the actions.
Like I said it, it works great for me, crystal sharp pics with my 10D! I am so curious to see how it compares to Fred Mirandas Actions or C1LE but apparently no one else knows what we are talking about and l am to cheap to buy the apps.
Anyway, goodluck!
