Reformatting CF card

I am wondering if anyone periodically reformats their CF card, just as a way to clean sweep it. I know that when I reformatt the hard drive of my PC it sure runs better.

I periodically reformat my cf card and my hard drive. Not sure it does any good but it makes me feel better.

I reformat in the camera after every unload. Takes just a second to do, and ensures a clean slate.

Hello,i always re format the cards when ive finished downloading them.I believe ,although im not sure that it will also keep the photo numbers in sequence when you re use the card.If anyone knows better please let me know,cheers
