Got invited to Kenny's pit 3 weeks ago, great time, really good guy. This was on Tuesday and Wednesday before he finished the Dew Action Sports Tour (Won the overall) on the following Saturday. The "pit" is 30x60 & 12 feet deep; filled with 150K foam pieces (at $1 each!). It's got a retractable roof and sits on 360 acres out in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma. Tried to get some shots that aren't the norm. I can post more if requested.
As always, C&C welcomed and appreciated.

hmm
1, 3 and 4 in isolation are awesome captures, but the skip full of foam you posted spoils it! :D
good shots nonetheless though.
so the point was...get some air, fall off, crash, don't injure yourself or break your bike. sounds good to me!

Damn you are lucky. The cowboy is awesome to watch, I am sure that in person it is even more spectacular. Unfortunately it's not that huge here yet. We do however have one character called "sick Nick" who is great fun to watch. The images where you cut off sections of the bike don't work for me and the foam is not as great in a pic as it may look. Having said that, I like the fist shot (even with the bike chopped off) cos you see his face. That is definitely my pic here

Hehe you shouldn't have shown the foam landing spot. Kinda like showing how the magic trick is done :) Although it is interesting to see what 150k of foam looks like.
I don't like the overcropped pics where the wheel is missing much but the others are good.

I hear you on the "crops" that aren't crops.. the first one for example; had the 70-200 and he was 10-15 directly over my head, I was standing just past, almost under the ramp. That one wasn't at the pit btw. Unfortunatley, when he was at the ramp (not jumping into the pit) on Monday the weather/sky was bad.

ahh ok.. if you happened to miss the full frame thats cool. I assumed they may have been cropped that way.. If it was difficult which i'm sure it was then I'll retract the comments.. Except the bit where I said the pics were good. :)

I hear you on the 70-200 thing, it's a mission, I had that same trouble over the weekend the 70-200 was too close at times (having limited access) and the 18-55 was too short for others. As A result I had to change lenses often and got dust on my sensor now.

I hope he is not going to ride the bike out of the pit "on the Hook" in the last picture.
Doesent he know he could fall and get hurt?
