Opening Photoshop LE from XP explorer.

I have one small (read large) frustration when I am in XP explorer and I right click on a picture file and choose to 'Open with' Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop LE launches and then displays a box saying it can't find the file. If I open Photoshop LE independantly and go file, open, and select the same picture it comes up fine. There has got to be a simple answer, right. Can someone please help?

I'm not sure if this will fix the "Open with..." action, but it won't hurt to try:

Open Explorer, choose Tools>Folder options, select the File types tab, find the file type in question (ie jpg, gif, etc), and click on Advanced.

Choose the "open" action, and in the "Application used to perform the action" field you should see something like:

"D:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0\Photoshop.exe" "%1"

The quotes around the %1 are important, if they are not there, then you will receive the error message anytime you try to open a file that contains a space in it's address ie "C:\My Documents\pic.jpg" since only "C:\My" will be sent to the program.

If that doesn't work, use the "Open with" option again, but choose "browse." Find the executable for PSLE.

Thanks for the advice lord.hypnos however no luck and I will clarify a few points.
1) I have 'XP Home'.
2) It has a file types tab OK and you can select the file type you want and choose the program you want to open it eg PS-LE but there is no 'advanced' button and at the bottom of the box the cancel and apply buttons are greyed out. When you then choose a picture file in an explorer folder it launches PS-LE but the warning box comes up on the PS-LE page 'could not complete your request because the file cannot be found'.
As I said previous if you open PL-SE and go file>open and choose the same picture file it works fine????
Any other suggestions?

Woops, I have egg on my face! I must suffer from tunnel vision. Now that I set the file types box up as I said in the previous e-mail you now just double click the image file & bingo it launches PS-LE and the picture is there. Still dosn't open with 'open with' command but I am happy now, thanks.
