Hello! I am looking to purchase a Canon D30 for around $500 - $700. I do not need any lenses or flashes as I already have them. I have an Elan 7 and am looking to expand into digital!

You can contact me here or email: dronald@woh.rr.com.

Thanx alot,
Debbie Ronald

There have been a couple on ebay.com.au and sold.com.au in that kind of price range... and a batch of factory refurbs came out for AUD$1200, which would be around US$600 or so... it's just a case of getting one, as they get snapped up fast... it's probably the best place to start, especially if you don't mind online auctions... worth trying overseas to see what comes up too...

Cheers,
Stuart

Stuart,

I have seen a few online form AU, but a little leery about buying and shipping oversees. Have you used any of them before or know for sure if they are reputable???

Thanx, Debbie

Hi Debbie,

I'm yet to get caught with an online auction, as if it looks too good to be true it usually is... I notice there is a D30 on www.sold.com.au with a lens for AUD$1500 - if you want me to look into that to see if it's legit, I'd be happy to - although they're from a rural area from memory, so it's likely to be genuine...

Cheers,
Stuart

P.S. Email me at stuart@dataman.com.au if you want to take this discussion off the board...
