I photographed this girl last week, she just loved having her picture taken....which lead to this idea.

Here in the USA, that would be considered child porn. Our society here is that sad.

Very nice shot Arnie, And no, I don't think this is anywhere near child porn!
Did you shoot that on second curtain?

Great series! See makes a good action model, not child porn. Could be a GAP commercial.

Arnie:
I like the idea, I think that it works very well. I'm not all that taken with the "high key" effect (its a personal thing) :) and this does not show very well on my monitor here at work.
This probably looks much better at full size and is no where close to being child porn!
Your subject is a very pretty, outgoing young girl and it looks like you have captured her spirit and mood extremely well.
well done and thanks for sharing.

Yes, it is pushing it....it's a nice shot(s) indeed. I'd be proud of them, even though I too am not a big fan of high key stuff.

That's what I was thinking, or maybe Old Navy. Nice shots. I like how you merged them all together.

Very nice highkey photo series. Good work.
And Gibbletz must not be looking at the same photos we all are..... Dude you must have another browser open with porn.

Where do you get porn out of these pictures? There aren't any suggestive poses .. or any like underwear showing(and Michael Jackson nor any Catholic priests are nowhere in sight ). Where do you see porn you perves? You're joking, right? Or has Janet Jacksons wardrobe malfunction has completely gone to eveone's head?

Very nice series of photos. I like the concept and the execution here. She looks like she was having a ball putting on a show for the camera.
As to the child porn? Not hardly! But I do know what gibbletz means. Things are getting downright weird with kids in photos and how they are received. Innocence has been lost in the rush to protect.

I don't this is anywhere near that, but each person can decide that on their own.
This is a fantastic shot showing a young girl enjoying life. The image emits alot of joy and happiness.
It is truly a great job.

I think that's ridiculous to say that because it isn't true. Some people just seem to sit around and wait to say uncalled things like that.
So sad....

That is an absolutely ridiculous statement No where in the world would this be considered porn. It's paranoid people like yourself causing problems in this society and on this forum your statement is not only 100% untrue but is considered trolling. Cease and desist immediately. You owe this forum and the original poster an apology.

I think this is an excellent series and will make a wonderful keepsake for the girl's her mother (and in a few years, the girl herself)..
*sigh*.. THAT BEING SAID, it is a sad testament to the state of our society, predominantly in the west, that pictures such as this cannot be viewed by all in an innocent and wholesome light. gibbletz's comments, though definitely right-wing, are not without its supporters. If is a comfort -albeit slight- that not many such supporters exist on this board.
However, to demand an apology or a retraction is a departure to the other extreme. Besides, by his own admission his comments are a result of the 'sad state' of our society and not necessarily his own feelings on the matter.
I do know what gibbletz means. [...] Innocence has been lost in the rush to protect. This was by far one of the most insightful comments thus far, and I agree completely.

I am referring to the fact that he has essentially destroyed and hijacked this thread and am not dipping into the political, extremist point of his point. Nor will I try and guess what his feelings are.

She certainly looks like She's having fun with this. Lovely collage. :D
BTW, gibbletz, My Grand Daughter likes to play and act silly just like this whenever the camera comes out. It's a "KID" thing, please do not refer to this as pornography.

Anyway... like another reply mentioned.. it does put me mind of a GAP commercial. Very nice series of shots!

Well, I apologize to the original poster, but I was merely trying to point out that in the ultra-conservative-paranoid society that inhabits the USA, people act all suspicious if kids are photographed anywhere but a playground or a birthday party, but I shouldn't of opened this can of worms.

I appreciate your appology, but you seem to have a strange grasp on reality...if any situation is going to cause paranoid suspicions its photographing other peoples kids in a playground. Open your eyes, can't you see that the pictures were taken in a controlled environment with studio lighting....this usually points to consent from Mum and looking at the fun she had consent from the star! How on earth you deem any aspect of these pictures as child porn is way beyond me.
Thank you to all who posted such complimentary words, I'm chuffed:oops:

Arnie 1, That is a great set of shots you should be proud of! You really captured "fun" (well that sounded better in my head, but i think you'll know what i mean).

Gibbletz, I think what has upset everyone about your comment is that while we know people are getting rediculous with their views on these things, we at POTN respect each other. While we stretch from "first day amature" to top level professional, we are all united by the love of photography and enjoy sharing our images. If we were after political debate we would go to "needtogetoutmore.com". Instead, we overlook the minority on the basis that we are all people of integrity sharing a common passion. We have a great team of moderators to weed out the bad apples, and if you look around on the web, there are alot of bad forums out there. POTN is not one of them.
Now I must apologise to you Arnie as i have probably just further hijacked this thread. You have captured her spirit and that of innocent fun. Keep it up and please share more in the future.
