Just finished figuring out all the instructions. This thing ROCKS!

A few points...

I love the speaker in the A70 when playing back movies. I can also take notes with it for college and work. It seems to be a bit like a recording device as well! Sort of like a mini tape recorder. I also like the nice chimes and downloadable music samples you can customize the flash sounds and wallpaper and themes. It's a pretty hip device! Almost like a mp3 player of sorts. With a stereo > mono adapter I can sure enough playback a good sized CD ripped to my 512mb CompactFlash when in the camera! I can even install headphones and listen that way! Wohoo! This thing is sweet.

Ugh, boys. I always thought that people buy cameras for taking pictures :).

Before I bought the G3, I was considering this camera very much. I'd say the A70 is like a cross between the s400 because of size and the G3 because of features. It's not really small enough though in my opinion to just take with you in your pocket like an MP3 player or the s400.
I'm still looking for a good ultra compact. I'll probaBLY go with the S400 in the end.

I think the reason why the a70 had such an insanely low price was because of the country it was manufactured in unlike all the other Powershots. That must be it.
Is the body of the camera and internals less quality because of this? Who knows?

Hey ...

The camera i got was manufactured in Malaysia, which is known for its superior quality control and manufacturing, so im guessing that the prices are low but the quality great!

Logan, is it possible for it to turn into a mp3 or just a though?
And can u actualy put a cd on to the flash and play back the music though the speaker? didnt know it could read music files. What other types of files does it play though the speaker and video screen?
