Some from today. Didn't have a ton of time to compose the shots as I was constantly dodging staff but a few did come out well. I would have preffered time to set up a tripod on one of these but had to settle with 1/10th of a second handheld

Very nice captures! I really like the first one - I do have a thing for Eames stuff. The second is simply elegant, with a FrankLloydWrightish look. I suspect that these photos would look great in B/W. Hey, it looks like the edge of your platforms are the same as ours here in NYC (look at my subway platform pic) :)

A tenth of a second?

You're not much of a coffee drinker, are ya'?

I tried to do something like that in Montreal last month, but the results were pretty dismal...

That first on looks like Alan Road, I think. ???

Nice shots.

It is a pain that we have to get hassled just for taking pictures.

DocFrankenstein - Sure thing man. I'll be the one darting in and out of shadows, balancing composition and visibility to security cameras for positioning and muttering "f-ing non-IS 4.5 aperture hunk of junk..." to himself ;) (kidding naturally, I love my lense).

7SLOTS - I'd be surprised if they were trained that way or if they were just being ornery. The TTC staff seem split between terribly pleasant individuals and accolites of the dark lord satan before they've had their morning coffee. Just gotta hope you draw the nice one when you deal with em.

Bottom - I smell something of a formal training in photography, am I right? I'll have to do a search on Eames since I'm really happy with how the first one came out. I'm gonna try em in black and white but I like the slight drearyness from the undersaturated colours that take emphasis away from tone and move it more towards form than anything. Especially I wanted to show the really mild colours of some of the stations contrasted with the ugly ugly ugly brown or oranges in some of the other ones.

776 - It's a few stops south of yorkdale, can't for the life of me remember which (I rarely take the university line north of bloor) but it had the crazy coloured curved walls I believe. Thanks for taking a look.

Steve - Chai Green Tea all the way, I kicked the coffee around the same time I got into meditation. Hands have become super steady since ;) As for the Montreal shots, honestly I had high hopes for alot of shots only to find out they were dismal when loaded onto a full screen. Thought I had about 15 keepers on the back of my LCD, and it was instead a stretch to get 4

symes - Just wait until I get ahold of a lense with IS built in. I think the new lense fund should fill up quickly once I can find some money to get it started... ahem

hogdust - I think you may be right. Seems like the right area from my memory. I think people just don't understand WHY we'd be taking pictures of some things and automatically pull out the knee jerk response that it must be something wrong. Oh well.

Tlee05 - Man I tried like hell to get the whole thing aligned nicely, I think it might be a prespective thing more than a slant. Glad you liked the set.

Thanks for taking a look everyone
