I've had my camera for about a month, and this lens for about a week. I'm really trying to learn to have smooth free hand movement and smooth focusing. Please critique.

Nice job on that, i'm trying to get to grips with the 50 1.8 myself. Brave man installing Bullet on a month old camera but it seems to be working out for you.

Could you give us more detail on what you were intending as this appears like a stream of unedited random shots.

Some of the shots were quite nice and some looked over exposed. Some of the pulled focus stuff wasn't sufficiently short on DoF and only in exceptional cases would you go from one focus point to another and back to the original in the same clip.

Before overcomplicating things with all sorts of clever stuff I would concentrate on the core camera and then add the bells and whistles as needed.

On the other hand, it might just be arty stuff that I don't understand in which case well done.

@Sickone I think you mean Magic Lantern which is a firmware hack? Magic Bullet is a software tool.

Yeah I do my bad, I should know that too as I had it on Pinnacle HD, oops lol

There is no Magic Lantern hack for the 7D

Ohhh, that makes sense. I would never modify my 7D though.

I'd have to agree with John on this one...lot's of random shots of which many are over exposed. Before jumping into Magic Bullets I'd nail getting the best image straight out of camera first then tackle the task of color grading.

I've been playing around with the camera lately and I feel pretty comfortable with what I know now, I'm going to try to make a video come sometime this week :)

ND filter? I'm not familiar. I use an UV filter
