Thanks guys. I'm not a beginner at photography but I still consider myself an amateur. I've had about half a dozen point and shoot cameras before my current 300d. I've always done it as a hobby so I've got in lots of practice.

I shot the first one with my 50mm 1.8, and the second with the kit lense.

And yes, I live in Newport News, VA. Work in Chesapeake.
