Hi guys !!

I've been used D30 about 4 months and Sigma 24-70 about 2 months.
I'm considering buying tele lense.
My main subject is my daughter who is 23 months old now.
I'm narrowing down my choices into 70-200L F2.8 and 100-400L IS.
I'm in KOREA and the 100-400 is 1/4 expensive than 70-200.
Any comments will be very welcomed !!

I've got both...they're wonderful. I find myself using the 100-400IS most of the time because it has great zoom capabilities. It's a great lens...if I were going to buy just one of the two it would be the 100-400IS. The other one is great for portraits and very pretty in full frame in close shots...the zoom is only fair.
So it's a choice. Go to www.fredmiranda.com and see just how often he uses that 100-400IS quite a bit.

Good luck, The Nitwit3

If you can only get one at this time, I would go for the 100-400 IS. The IS is quite useful especially at the 100-200 range.

Good luck.
