Actually posted this in the People section and didn't get but one response. I think it's kind of cool, but I'm a newb. Comments appreciated.

Nice image...you captured what seems like a very personal moment in her life....
she seems totally unaware of the camera and your presence....nice vision...one of the better children portraits on the board.......don

Thanks Don. She's a great model (and my only one) plus she's my Grandaughter. She has no fear in front of the camera. Of course, it's getting to the point where I have to bribe her...

Definetly a moody photo with nice composition and light. You may have to deal with her agent at some point.

I like the portrait, I can see why it did not get much mileage on the "channel" with chubby infants in goofy hats.:D

The cropping/framing is kinda 1/2 way of what I would have done, i.e., I would have emphasized either the face alone or included the kid's fine hair entirely in the shot.
