I have a battery grip on my Ellan II from Canon. Does anyone know if it is compatable with the D10?

No its not compatible. The 10D grip is about 3x more expensive.

the grip's called BG-ED3 and fits on EOS 10D/D60/D30.
the BP-50 (Elan II) costs about 50 Euros, the BG-ED3 180 Euros.

Don't be too dissapointed; the BG-ED3 is a very nice addition to a D30, D60 or 10D. As well as doubling battery life (it holds two BP511 batteries) it is, obviously, great for portrait shooting.

It also makes the camera look a lot more serious and 'pro'! :)
