So I currently have an EOS Rebel XSi and was thinking of upgrading in the near future (within 2 months) to a 60D. They seem to be very comparible bodies from what I can see on Canon's site. Any thoughts?

All of your lenses and flashes will work.
The 60D is about two classes above the XSi, in addition to being a couple of years newer. You'll notice a huge difference in features and ergonomics, all of them good.

I think you'll be thrilled w/ the 60D...great camera and you'll really feel like its a serious upgrade.

You're right, the XSi and 60D aren't comparable- I typed faster than I thought. I meant that the 60D and 7D are pretty comparable except in price (big factor in looking at a 60D instead of a 7D).

Well, no, 7D and 60D aren't really all that comparable either. But 60D is quite a nice camera so I wouldn't recommend spending the additional for 7D instead unless you really, really need some of it's features.... and are certain you would use them and are willing to put in the time and effort to leart to use them well. 7D is a more pro, sport/action oriented camera.
In terms of potential image quality, 60D and 7D are very similar (so are T2i and T3i). But beyond that there are quite a few differences. But 60D is quite capable and would be a very nice upgrade for you and likely will meet all your needs well. It also will probably be an easier upgrade... can use the same memory cards and lenses you use now. It uses different batteries, though (larger capacity).

I upgraded from Xsi to a 7D. it was a big jump for me. I think you will see big difference in the IQ and camera build.
