Hello all, there doesnt seem to be a section here for general chit chat so I thought I would start in this forum. Names Rob, just purchased a Rebel XT. Will be here today. My other camera is a sony point and shoot. I use it mostly for taking shots of my wood working for my website. The photos are passable at best. I decided to take the plunge and start trying photography as well as wood working as a hobby. Hope to learn much from the users here. Anyway, see ya real soon.

We actually do have a General Chat forum (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=21) - though we desire posts there to be "related in some way to photography even if only in the abstract" we're kinda lenient - just stay away from politics and religion, including "Mac versus PC" or "DeWalt versus Ryobi" conversations. :-)

Thanks, no worries on those subjects. I have other forums for that.;) I have been looking at the picture forums and there are some really talented people contributing to this website. Hope to be one of them in the not to distant future.
