Can't Download pictures From s230, help?

using s230 and windows 2000.

i THINK after i've upgraded firmware to 1.0.2, i can't download pictures from the camera.

only error message i get is camera doesn't have any pictures, while there are some.


suggestions?

looks like i'll be switching to xp over the weekend =/

Have you downloaded sp3 for win2000?

Do you use ZoomBrowzer 4.1?
It works in my office PC but not in my home PC. Both of them operats in Windows 2000.
You could try ZoomBrowzer 4.02.

Steve: where do you get 4.1? I searched cannon, and the latest listed is 4.0.2.

Windows XP doesn't need the Twain driver, so that's probably why that worked OK. With Windows 2000 you will need to install the Canon Twain driver that came with your camera.

ZomBrowzer 4.1 is the latest version and it comes with new-purchased camera.

I had the same problem (Win 2000 service pack 3) and contacted Canon Support. They suggested the following that cured the problem for me:

1. Plug in the camera & turn it on.

2. Click on the START menu, select SETTINGS and click on CONTROL PANEL.

3. Double-click SCANNERS & CAMERAS icon.

4. Select the camera and click on PROPERTIES.

5. Click on the EVENTS tab (at the top of the window) and in the program list, select CANON ZOOMBROWSER EX.

6. Click OK to finish.

By mistake, my software got thrown away, does anyone know where I can get a copy of the solution CD without paying an arm and leg?

If $19.95 isn't "an arm and leg", you can purchase it from Canon (1-800-828-4040).
