I was photographing what I thought was a bee coming out of a lily. I quickly realised she was not moving under her own power. Summer 2004

A very dramatic photo. The flower-stage and the protagonsts-actors in that little macro tragic play by Nature.

Gary -- is a purple and white spider a "Canadian" thing??? I hate spiders, but this pic is really cool.

A good question that I can't answer but it brought to mind that this spider had changed color by the following day. At least I think it was the same spider...definitely the same species and on the same flowers. I dug up a couple of shots and as you can see it took on a yellow color ( especially the front and legs) and I presume this was a camouflage technique. Thanks for the feedback.
