Make it a powerful memory, the happiest you can remember (http://www.flickr.com/photos/andrew_bui/6661309727/) by AndrewBui (http://www.flickr.com/people/andrew_bui/), on Flickr

Once I saw the tutorial on how to do this on Joel Robison's blog (http://joelrobisonphoto.wordpress.com/) I almost had a heartattack. Not only is his Patronus picture (http://www.flickr.com/photos/joel_r/5935209817/) one of my all time favorites, I had always wanted to try one out for myself, so a very fat and gracious thank you to him.

If you flip through my Flickr you'll see that I don't really do conceptuals or portraits very much besides this (http://www.flickr.com/photos/andrew_bui/5959542157/in/photostream) one. As you can see I mostly shoot food but living in such a beautiful area like San Luis Obispo for college has really inspired me- I've never seen a place with more natural beauty and it has really inspired me to get off my ass and take advantage of my surroundings!

So obviously this isn't the best picture in the world: I think I abused the heck out of curves leading to some very constrasty skin tones, and the patronus itself looks extremely unrefined and fake :). But it was extremely good practice, and hey, I finally did an expansion for the first time! (By the way the Patronus is supposed to be a giraffe)
