Kind of slow bird photography wise lately, but you can always count on Chickadees providing opportunities during slow times. This lone bird was concentrating on these branches and gave me a good 10 seconds to work with for these shots, which seemed like an eternity for this species. I was happy with the results;) .

Great shots Dan. Definetly one of the most entertaining birds with their contstant chatter and movement. Some of them are so tiny and you have to marvel at how they will go about their business when its 20 below zero. They are quite often as curious about us and I had one land on my camera last winter and take a few seconds to check me out. The detail in both photos is very good. Its easy to lose the eye in the darkness of the cap but you have it in the first shot. The bokeh is excellent in both shots. The composition, branch and pose of the second photo makes it the better of the two for me.

Excellent sharp image. By golly, the taxidermists are getting increasingly creative these days when it comes to bird mounting.

#1 is my favorite. Clear example showing the legs strenght (one of the few birds that can hang, eat upside down). Beautiful comp and techs.
Great catch!
