I was ready to buy a 512mb compactflash media card today. Then the clerk says it's only 4x you may not want it for a camera. Does the speed matter in my 10D ?
And what difference would it make?
TIA

Reading the above thread and review it seems to me that the issue isn't which card will allow the best 10D performance but which card gives the best transfer via card reader.
I might have missed the forest for the trees but there is more a difference between a direct camera USB, USB 2.0 Reader and a Firewire Reader transfer speed than there is between "in-camera" CF write speeds.
(My .02 cents) I welcome any information that corrects my opinion.
