I am a professional photographer in Oregon. I just bought the Canon D10/ Epson 2200 printer/Photoshop 7and a callibration system.
I don't learn well from reading manuals..
and although I have taken some nice shots,
done some correction in Photoshop and printed out a few photos for clients....
I need to feel like I am mastering my craft...am in the dark still.....I like to work without thinking about whether I'm doing it right!!
Does anyone know of a bootcamp/college/class/ individual/ that teaches Digital mastery/photoshop 7/printer/callibration.
Need to recoup my costs....

Red, did you get the D10, or the 10d?

There are organizations that teach Photoshop. You might try the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. There are others, and I think there are videotapes.

Seth Resnick is a true digital master; take hus course, and you won't regret it.

I can't see where you mentioned if you are using PC/Win or Mac?
This makes a huge difference, specificaly with OSx.

Please reply and I'm sure you will get some help, maybe I can
if you are a Mac OSx 10.2.x user.
If so you can email me at tom.aellis@onaimaging.com

Best,
Tom

Tom.
Thanks, great web site.
I'd love to see my work in very large format someday.

I work better hands on than reading over and over manuals(although I have read through them)
It's just so much easier and faster to work w/ pros
I need to learn all the digital basics

The closest college to me with digital or photoshop is over 75 miles
The shop where I bought my equiptment is 100 mis and always busy
A tech will charge me @ least $35 hr to answer questions
that's why I was thinking of a bootcamp...
I already took a community ed photoshop 5 for mac class...but not enough

I have too many questions to just start asking them one by one @ this point

Good luck - PS 7 is a huge learning curve.

I've got several books on PS 7, but by far the best one is:

The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers
by Scott Kelby.

You can find this for about $28. at Amazon.

You might also mind the short course on the 10D of value. Look for it at:

Rob and Brunz,
Thanks, I'll look into the book and course...
I bought a $50 Real World Photoshop book ...but it wasn't as user friendly as I had hoped
