I am about to buy an A70, but wanted to know first if using just the USB cables provided, if i can edit a picture. What i mean is:

* Get a picture on to the computer
* Edit it using photoshop
* Put it back on the camera
* Show it again in the view finder
* Take it to a camera store and print the edited picture?

I've heard that you can put pics and movies back on the camera. I though since its the exact same file the camera put on the cmputer iit would easily be able to get it back, but if a different program mods the jpg image file, thats where i'm unsure.

If this is possible with images, is it also possible to do it with movies?
Without the software packages that come with the camera?

Get a CF card reader, it's much simpler and does not drain the Camera batteries.

The A70 rocks!!!

I did just that with my A40 and it worked fine. I didn't try it with movies, though.

I always use my Card reader, and either copy files to my computer or more recently import them into a 'photo album' utility supplied by BOOTS (a chemist chain store in the UK). I also copy movies in the same way.

My record is 30MB for a single movie, can anyone beat that
