First few shots with the 135L... Got them in yesterday... I need to shoot more and get use to the focal length (not as forgiving as my 50mm and 17-40L :p)... Loving the lens so far! :)

Shooting at f/2 certainly is going to take some getting used to. DOF is so thin it doesn't get both eyes in focus unless the head is directly facing you.

Just got mine Today!!!!!! Using it on crop T2i though. Maybe my wife gets me a 5DM2 or 5DM3 one day. I've used it for an hour and it is already an instant favorite!!!!

Just got mine. Can NOT believe how sharp this bad boy is. This lens encourages pixel peeping. I view all my pics taken with this at 100%, just to be in awe at the sharpness.

Im amazed at the size and weight of this lens, I really expected it to be longer.Less than a day with it and I already know I did the right thing selling my 70-200 to fund this lens.I rather get less range/versatility and super image quality and sharpness.Plus the F2 is going to give me the ability to lower my ISO during night time sports.

Wow! These last posts show some fantastic diversity in the use of this lens. I also just heard from a videographer friend of mine that rented this lens for a wedding to try out the focal length and it's now top priority on her "buy" list! Anyone surprised at this? She says it does the toast sequences at the wedding beautifully with "creamy background". I've tried to tell her about if for the past 6 months, looks like renting one is a sure way to have to gather up a Grand!

I bougth this lens about 2 weeks ago and I found the focal length to be perfect at the race track I shot motorsport at last weekend. Perfect focal length for the spots we were allowed to shoot from and focus worked great on my 5D3.

Today is ANZAC day...remembrance for Australian and New Zealand soldiers who died in the wars. We have a dawn parade, and as the song says... "each year the old soldiers are fewer...", but each year more young people turn up to remember and to thank.

Took a shot of the Golden Gate Bride with the 135L. Love the sharpness :D

Though in retrospect, I wish I remembered to bring my 24-70L for a wider pan.

Loving the 135mm. This is straight out of the camera, only resized and slightly sharpened. No other editing. Taken thru glass as well, so really happy with what this lens can do.

As to your question...is there time to attach a flash? How far away is he? If I have a wide angle mounted is there time to grab a macro for the desperation on his face? What's the lighting like? Is there anyone to hold a reflector? Will there be anyone that can take his place if I don't like the composition?

for some reason i cannot get my 135L to get off my 7D... lol my 5D is stuck with the 50mm 1.4 lens attached... lol

Since getting the 135L i've solely been using it on my 7D, will start using it on my 5DMKII this week.... taking it out for fun!

Never will undersell my 5D, but the Bokeh on a 216mm lens @ f2 is more pleasing than a 135mm @ f2 i've found... :-)

The question is, what len's have blades like that? My 24L doesn't and when I had a 35L it didnt either. I think the 85L has them though?
