Most people on this Forum tend to not use (or think much of) Canon software. You might like to think about Breezeborwser and/or capture one. I use Breezebrowser and it's cool. It seems that at the moment, Capture One is flavour of the month.

Anyway, RAW conversion comes with some technical stuff too and I'm still grappling with that. I'll leavie it to the techies to describe.

Oh, and if you search this board for Breezebrowzer or CP1 you'll come up with some recent discussion.

Good luck

Altough I have all the Canon software install on my PC, I rarely use any of them except for the File Viewer Utility which I use exclusively for converting RAW to TIFF or JPG. I then use Photoshop for all adjustments.

How about changing the saturation, exposure compensation....that type of setting in RAW. I can only do that with Canon's softaware and it's painfully slow. Can't see those setting in breezebrowser or I overlook those feature in BB?

Conversion Setting are in the top part of the raw conversion window. Still not super-fast as it's based on the Canon SDK.

Those settings are there in BB - when you go to you have lots to tinker with.
