On my 10D, does changing the Processing Parameters (contrast, sharpness, saturation, color tone) affect how the image is captured (i.e., the raw image), or does it only apply to the way the JPEG is created?

If I shoot in RAW mode, will changing the Processing Parameters have any effect?

Should I leave these along (unless I'm printing directly from the camera, etc.) and make the changes in PhotoShop instead?

Gordeaux,

The processing parameters will only affect the embedded JPG. If you are ever going to use the embedded JPG, perhaps, just for browsing or printing as you suggest, then there is something to be gained from using your preferred settings for these parameters to improve the look of the JPG.

Whether you adjust saturation, etc. in Photoshop or the converter depends on your preferred workflow.
