Rumors about A70

I was talken to a sales man and i dont know what to believe.

I know the A70 has been very popular in brisbane (Aus). But outside of that i dont know. It sounds like it has been a big hit everywhere in Australia.

He said that it has been sold out or in short supply pretty much everywhere in the world!
(Q) Has it in you local area?

BUT the big thing he told me was he heard that canon haven't been distributing more stock because they are changing from compact flash to SD something or sounds like it. Either way that stuffs up my order for extra compact flash.
(Q) Has anyone heard anything about this?

Ive been waiting for 2 1/2 months for this camera and still am waiting!

Canon came out with a new elph which uses SD card instaed of CF cards, because this new one is so small. But, it should not affect other models which are already using cf cards.

I bought an A70 on 17/05 in Uk since then two of my mates have also bought one, but they are getting harder to obtain, a number of UK based web sites are waiting stock.

A70 rocks !
