View Full Version : Anyone using a Velbon Sherpa 600 Tripod??

Hi Guys,

I'm tripod shopping at the moment - the Velbon Sherpa is hitting the spot
for price, features, weight... has anyone used one, or chosen something else
for a reason they'd care to share??

Basically, the old Optex is looking a little sad, and with the 10D and a
75-300mm lens it's not really supporting the camera... plus the Velbon is
lighter, and can get down to nearly ground level...

Any opinions??

Cheers,
Stuart

I don't know how similar it is, but I use a Velbon Sherpa Pro 5300 tripod, with a PH-157Q head, and it is a very sturdy and light (for its strength) tripod.
