So thats why we have no photo evidence of dinosaurs?
Imagine dear old Ashton Kutcher crawling around with his Nikon and upskirting a velociraptor! Now THAT I'd enjoy watching, especially the aftermath.
Of course, the sequence itself would have to be shot by someone with a Canon 5DII. You know, a camera that really takes videos....

On a side note I am seriously considering the new EF 24-70 f2.8 L II... I am tired of the kit lens (EF-S 18-55 IS) being my normal zoom and I suspect the 5D3 will become my new workhorse at events.

Fine, the Luma Cinch kept the camera in place, no bouncing, no damage to the flash as I walked about. Shots certainly are better with than without. It's a pain in the ass having to adjust manually based on the distance though. Plenty of blownout shots if the subject is close (like 15-20 feet).
Cycle time is way too slow without a battery pack. It's still not so good even with a battery pack.
And you may not be able to tell, but it was completely overcast that day--thick, thick cloudcover.

What, you were hoping for someone else to respond? :p
you can fit a smaller laptop in the back compartment, but it's not padded. If you don't mind the pressure from all of that hardware pushing up against the laptop and against your body, then go for it. There's also a thick zipper area , so there's a good chance you'll end up scratching against the teeth, which are metal. Look into the Urban Disguise series instead. Those are designed to hold laptops--better padding.

What are you thinking?
So it supposedly has the Digic 5+ which is 17 times faster than the Digic 4. So what does it do with all that power? Is it mainly for video stuff or something? It sure isn't for shooting fast!
The 7D, with Dual Digic 4s, was 18MP at 8FPS. That's 144MP per second. (I guess one is for AF?)
The 1D4, with Dual Digic 4s, was 16MP at 10FPS. That's 160MP per second. (I guess one is for AF?)
The 5D2, with single Digic 4, was 21MP at 3.9FPS (lets say 4). That's 84MP per second (about half the 1D4 which is Dual Digic 4's so that makes sense)
Now we have the 5D3, with single Digic 5, it is 22.3MP with 6FPS. That's 133MP per second. So it is driving less resolution per second than either the 7D or 1D4 yet has about 8 TIMES the processing power? (I know it ain't the AF system since the 1Dx manages to just have one digic 4 take care of that!)
Anyone got a theory why? Additionally why is the 1Dx with dual Digic 5+ and a single Digic 4 (dedicated to AF) only 12FPS at 18MP? Are we really just hitting a physical mirror movement speed limit? Is it just a matter of time before mirror-less takes over due to FPS advantage?

Back to the bag discussion, I have the retro 20 and love it. It held my 5d w/ 24-70, 530ex, 13' mbp and room to spare. When I needed my 70-200 I had it attached to the side in its bag. All in all it's a choice I'll do it over again

Do you have any pictures of your bag?
Just curious to see how you had it setup to accommodate the camera and laptop.

I can't recommend enough that you not get this bag for use with a laptop. If you're running/jogging for whatever reason, having it bounce against your body will put heavy strains on the laptop frame. There is NO padding beyond the double-layer material. Not a good idea.

I will live in Zone cross type focusing set up :D I used the 1D X and it has similar AF setup to the 7D in terms of adjusting and customizing it. I will be right at home here :D Now lets see all those going from the fisher price 5dmkII focusing system up to the 5dmkIII posting up my camera doesnt focus well

With 61 you can afford to stick a few further out. I don't know whey they don't. :(

Personally i like where they sit. I can hit the rule of thirds easily with the cross types the way they sit right now.

That's perfect then, that's all you need. :) With the 7D for example you have the 19 points but I find myself focusing and recomposing a lot.
