I know it doesn't officially support being able to carry around a laptop... but it may still work.

I'm really looking for a bag for my gripped 7D, 70-200, sigma 17-50 and maybe my 28 or 85 (or both), and then right now my macbook, but mainly an ultrabook/MBA once I upgrade.
ThinkTank UD series will work accommodate a laptop.

So it supposedly has the Digic 5+ which is 17 times faster than the Digic 4. So what does it do with all that power? Is it mainly for video stuff or something? It sure isn't for shooting fast!

The 7D, with Dual Digic 4s, was 18MP at 8FPS. That's 144MP per second. (I guess one is for AF?)

The 1D4, with Dual Digic 4s, was 16MP at 10FPS. That's 160MP per second. (I guess one is for AF?)

The 5D2, with single Digic 4, was 21MP at 3.9FPS (lets say 4). That's 84MP per second (about half the 1D4 which is Dual Digic 4's so that makes sense)

Now we have the 5D3, with single Digic 5, it is 22.3MP with 6FPS. That's 133MP per second. So it is driving less resolution per second than either the 7D or 1D4 yet has about 8 TIMES the processing power? (I know it ain't the AF system since the 1Dx manages to just have one digic 4 take care of that!)

Anyone got a theory why? Additionally why is the 1Dx with dual Digic 5+ and a single Digic 4 (dedicated to AF) only 12FPS at 18MP? Are we really just hitting a physical mirror movement speed limit? Is it just a matter of time before mirror-less takes over due to FPS advantage?

Since the cross type are sensitivie to -2EV, the non cross types should work similar to the older 45 AF point system. If this works, Canon fans will be happy! ;)

Pros practice falling as well. You really want to avoid smashing your shoulder into the floor at all costs because you can break your collar bone. I try to slow down as much as possible and as im falling do a staggered collapse where my hand absorbs some of the impact, then my elbow and then my shoulder. This way you move the force through out the impact.

11-16 with crop factor is 17.6-25.6. So the 24-70 will actually "feel" very wide on the 5d. Not sure i will want to go even wider than that :lol:

I guess that is why it doesn't matter to me much since i dont shoot JPEG. I look at them just for the purpose of seeing how the ISO is doing with the understanding that the camera is doing some heavy work which i could change completely in a RAW file. That is why i dont argue about preproduction JPEG because we have no idea what the settings in the camera are and how it is affecting what we are seeing.

5D3 RAWs look good. I don't have perfect color profiles, but the noise pattern looks reasonable at ISO6400, actually pretty good. Pushing it a stop doesn't show any obvious banding either!

That's pretty much the range for the 1Ds III. I love it so much that I would have a hard time letting it go. It should pair nicely with the 5D III for better ISO. :)
