Bah, humbug. I'm on headshot duty today.
That means I have to use the 5DII + 70-200 f2.8 IS MKI combo. http://www.100megsfree3.com/fwc493/SmileyDirectory5/E/BulletPukeL.gifI @#$%ing hate this combo! Bah....
I know how to focus, but the AF is ALWAYS different from one shot to the next... Thankfully they're all close and I don't need full size images, but some are so nice and sharp and other suck.

I hate funerals, but I dislike missing them even more. I felt pretty bad when I missed an aunts funeral a few years back. Impossible to book a moderately priced flight at this time? I was looking at roundtrip flights at about 1500 miles--they were around $800.

Nobody warns anyone about babies. Once you purchase one, you can't return it.
And trust me, it's not the purchase that will get you, it's the upkeep. Highest maintenance costs known to mankind, and no warranty!
And, as you'll find out, any boy in college automatically spends 10% more than his parents can earn. For a girl, it's 20%.
Better stock up on Grecian Formula now, while you still have some money, because you will need it!

Awesome, so it's called "one weird dog". Thanks. I'll add that to the description on my flickr page :D
Yeh, just call it "dog with identity crisis" it thinks it is living in the 1970's with bell bottom pants and big hair!

if it's this combination

it is the ultimate boning. I'm not sure if Microsoft is still providing 3+ years warranty coverage against that. I think they stopped that.

Wrap it in a towel and let it run. If it is the solder to a connection, that should help. Fixed mine. :)

It's probably still covered under an extended warranty through microsoft. Did you pay with a Visa or Amex?

So get the thing to 800° degrees? Wouldn't flowing solder cause other issues like solder bridges?

It doesn't melt the solder, but it does work. I saw it on another forum after it happened to me, and it has been fine ever since. :)

Up to you, but I'd separate it into multiple threads. You're mixing business questions with gear questions. There's a lot to address in that posting. Should have taken the lens question to the EF Lenses subforum--you'd get a lot more responses there, and it'd be ontopic. Requests for 1d3 iso samples in the EOS DSLR subforum. Not that many people view the sports section.

Uh, I already said you should request sample ISO shots in the EOS Digital Cameras subforum? I bet you can already find threads related to that specifically covering the 1d3.
I mean seriously man--30 people viewing the sports subforum, vs 330 currently in the EOS Digital Cameras section. Guess which will get more views and responses.
